Satnam purchased Wendouree News and Lotto in 2018, prior to that he was running a gift shop and small supermarket.
The newsagency is currently managed by Satnam and his wife Jasbir as well as one staff member Christine, who has been working at Wendouree News and Lotto for nearly 30 years!
In order to cater to the needs of local residents, Satnam and Jasbir have increased the stock range by introducing reading glasses, gloves, beanies, gifted items, puzzles and other educational products.
Satnam and Jasbir consider every product opportunity carefully in their shop, in the context of how they see their business growing and the types of customers they are keen to attract. During COVID-19, they have been trying to keep plenty of stock such as hand sanitiser, face mask and other hygiene products.
Overall, Wendouree News and Lotto are doing really well as a newsgancy in regional area during this pandemic.
Wendouree News and Lotto have sold two first division prizes over the last two years! The first was a TattsLotto division one winner and the second was a Powerball $8 million prize, won by a loyal customer with a QuickPick entry at the shop.
